The Enlock joining system was originally developed for joining Eden's high performance window modules. This system produces a structurally strong longitudinal joint which perfectly aligns and seals two components.
Eden Windows produce outstanding high performance timber window systems that are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions (cyclonic). The Eden Windows modular window systems well exceed the Australian Standard 2047-99. Certification testing (NATA) indicate that Eden modular windows are able to withstand cyclonic wind borne rain at 293 km/hr. At the heart of the Eden Windows system is the Enlock longitudinal joiner.
A proven, efficient system, the enlock longitudinal joiner has been highlighted in The Australian Technology Showcase and was selected as one of six Open Category finalists of the UQ Business School's $125,000 Enterprise Business Competition.
Ongoing development has resulted in a range of new products with many applications for short and long joints. These products are now protected by world wide patents. Enlock joiners are versatile, easy to use and suitable for use in a wide range of materials. Standard products may be adapted or modified for special applications on request.
The Enlock team are:
Richard Walker: is the designer of the Enlock joining systems. He has over 20 years experience in design, management and manufacturing of timber products. Richard's eye for innovation has produced many effective and efficient solutions for timber joinery.
He started his career as a senior high school industrial arts teacher, later progressing to managing a manufacturing plant for Cyclone Industries (hardwood handles division). He now operates his own successful Brisbane based joinery business, Eden Windows and is a director of Enlock Joining Systems.
Lars Kirk: has a background in production,design and management. He has spent 36 years in the electronics industry with experience in international trading and production, the last 10 years as CEO of a company in Brisbane. Research and development holds a strong interest.
Lars is the proprietor of Kirk Consulting, consulting in management, production strategies and feasibility analysis.
